Velart originated in 2013 in Denver, CO. Michel Velazquez was raised in Guadalajara, MX. Now is a local occupant in Denver for about 11 years. With the company of his co-conspirator Nicole and intellectual son Niko.

Michel is the rising Mexican local artist of the generation that emerged in the wake of the influence of his father Diego Velazquez and Andy Warhol. There, he absorbed the acute attention to form of urban abstract and pulsating color theme master pieces. Subsequently refining his own illustration, is about elevating an ordinary product into a more glamorous light.

His drawings of women, children and wildlife are decorative and whimsical examples of the exquisiteness in life. His lifestyle as an artist and eccentric personality is humble and optimistic. Michel’s work can be found in myriad of public and private art collections both in the United States and abroad. He has been seen in numerous exhibitions citywide.
